Question

I had face and neck lift only one year ago and already the neck is becoming saggy again.

Should this be happening after one year, I don't think the muscles were tightened.

Answer

The expectation is that the results of facelift and neck lift should last longer but I am not sure what you are defining by "is becoming saggy again". In essence, the tension in the skin of the face will not be the same as in the very early postoperative period. This is because of gradual settling of the inflammatory processes that are part of the healing sequence.

The expectation is however that at this stage there should still be good improvement in the contour of the jaw line and of the neck.

It is a point that you ought to discuss with your surgeon as he or she will have a clear appreciation of your treatment sequence.
