Is it possible to undergo facelift and neck lift with just local anaesthesia. I am at risk from general and have already had my top lids done with just lidocaine injections.

Is this possible if like myself the patient is very chilled and not scared of the procedure? I have heard that most surgeons like the general so they can relax not because its necessary.

I suppose it depends on the characteristics of the neck lift intervention. I cannot imagine that more extensive neck lift surgery would be carried out under pure local anaesthetic as the amount required for patient comfort would far exceed the toxic dosage.

Lateral skin tightening to improve the appearance of the face and neck can be carried out under local anaesthetic, although I would imagine it would be highly uncomfortable.

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is a small intervention and is frequently carried out under pure local anaesthetic, even though in the inner corner of the eyelid it can be somewhat uncomfortable.

I have not attempted facelift and neck lift surgery was just local anaesthesia, and I have to admit I am not contemplating to try it as I believe it would be a memorably bad experience for the patient.
