Your questions answered by our surgeon, Lucian Ion, FRCS(Plast)
Asked on 06 January 2015
I am a 26 year old male with a rather large bulbous nose and the tip that meets the nostrils is slightly lop sided.
Would this be something that you specialise in as I have heard that this would be a very complicated procedure to get right?
The features that you describe are commonly part of the work I do for rhinoplasty, and it is indeed a challenging aspect in everyone's hands.
The mainstay of the approach consists in managing the cartilage support and thickness of the soft tissues, followed sometimes by steroid injections around the nasal tip during the after-care period.
I would be happy to see in consultation and advise regarding these points, and you can see some before and after photos along the lines of what you describe on our website.
