I am considering having my implants removed. The reason is that I have developed hives below my breasts on my stomach and I think that it's from an allergic reaction to my implants. I was an A cup and had 375cc silicon subpectoral implants in Nov 2006. In 2009 I first started noticing the skin problems. It seems to be getting worse and I also feel that my breasts are too big. If I just have them out what can I expect my breasts to look like?
Following the removal of breast implants, the shape of the breast can be contoured slightly from inside the implant pocket, but not to the same extent as with a breast uplift operation which leaves external scars around the nipple areola and below it.
I would need to see you in consultation to get an appreciation of the characteristics of the breast tissue and skin envelope to be able to give you more targeted guidance.
